Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Soueast X1 Plug-in HEV Supercar Concept

220408, Beijing Auto Show. Soueast surprised with 3 conceptcars from which the X1 Plug-in HEV Supercar Concept was the most interesting. A lot of Chinese car companies showed all kind of hybrids and HEV's and electrical cars but most of them are small or medium sized 'normal' cars. Soueast decided to do things a bit different and came with this Supercar package.

They didn't tell anything about the engine, problably because there wasn't any, it's just that I don't trust conceptcars with blacked out windows, they usually lie.

But the lines look good and it's nice to know that Soueast is working on some new engines as well. On the last picture you can see the name Mitsubishi Motors in the background. The Japanese have nothing to do with this car, Soueast and Mitsibishi make MPV's in a joint venture. But as any other Chinese joint venture company Soueast wants to go alone, and this is what we might expect.









The gentleman is Jackie Chan, he's got nothing to do with the X1 either.
