Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Shanghuan 'Chinese Smart' Noble Goes Harley Davidson

230408, Beijing Autoshow. Shuanghuan Automotive, famous for their copies of the BMW X5 and Smart, showed a new Outdoor version of the Noble.

It has all the usual outdoor/cross country/crossover add ons, such as roofrails, some extra black plasic, a little more ground clearance and a spare tyre on the back.

But more interesting was the painting on the sides, it was a typical V-Twin Harley Davidson engine with some bits of the frame and seat. A Harley is a motorcycle, it is strange to piant a motorcycle on a city car but maybe not for Shuanghuan. After all, they like doing crazy things, such as shopping the Harley logo away and replace it with their own.

Funny car though and it seems a succes in China, Shuanghuan started selling them in Beijing two months ago and I see them smarting around more and more.
