Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Lifan "Chinese Mini" 320
210408, Beijing Auto Show. Lifan is under heavy fire about it's newest car, the 320, because it looks so much like the Mini.
This is odd since Lifan usually makes nice but boring cars that don't look much like anything else. Strange thing about the showcars was that they merely
looked like mock-ups unlike the pictures that I published earlier this week which seemed to show a production ready car.
It was not allowed to get close to the cars, me and a Chinese photographer tried to get there but a security guard asked us in a very unpolite way to get back behind the red line.
So what is the secret? Maybe Lifan didn't dear to get the real car to the show out of fear for BMW? Now they can say it's just a concept...
