Geely might bring GT Concept to life as the EMGRAND GT
300309. Geely is driving at full speed to the Shanghai Auto Show 2009, rumors say they will introduce two new brands, one is EMGRAND or EM Grand and one is Shanghai EngLon, Englon meaning England-Londen. I doubt that last one a little because that is too weird even for Geely.
The GT will carry the name EMGRAND and is based on the GT proto from last years' Beijing Auto Show.
That car did not have an interior, these renderings have. That car did not have doors; these renderings have scissor-doors. That car did not have an engine, the renderings do neither. So actually we don't get much further into Geely's GT-land.
The car on the pictures has Geely GT on the plate but it has one of Geely's new logo's, so let's wait and see whether those weird new brand names will actually be used. But this being Geely it is very well possible, after all they sell a car which name translates as Beauty Leopard.
