The Dongfeng Brave Soldier is a fine TV-car in Peacetime
240209. China's first Hummer is now available for semi-private use, which is for companies and government agencies in businesses as forest control, mining, geology and more of the rough stuff. Hubei TV, a local station from Hubei Province, found another good use for the Brave Soldier.
HBTV turned it into a satellite transmission vehicle to be able to broadcast from the most inhospitable places. HBTV has two satellite channels, HBTV-1 and HBTV-2. It is off course government owned and the department responsible is called Hubei Bureau of Broadcasting & Television, or HBBT.
The Brave Soldier costs around 150.000 US dollar in China, converting is would likely ad another 50.000. However, it is worth a few Yuan to have the news right from the epicenter. They better helicopter it in though; with the amount of fuel it uses every second it won't get far out of town.
With a supporting vehicle, maybe that one carries the fuel for the Hummer. It is a Dongfeng as well; I guess HBBT got a discount. "Buy a Brave Soldier and get a Truck for Free!" Those trucks are good most say so I guess I would go for it. Anyway, nice to see the car is used wide and wisely.
