Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Good Old Citroen ZX still looks great in red

230408, Beijing Autoshow. The Citroen ZX is still alive in China more than ten years after it's death in Europe. In China the cheap taxi-versions are called Fukang, the more expensive version is called C-Elysee.

The C stands for Citroen, Elysee is the name of the French President's palace in Paris. The current president is Mr. Sarkozy, he married a former model whose nude photo did 92.000 dollar at an auction recently.

The ZX/Fukang/C-Elysee, I just call it ZX from now, is made in a joint venture in central China's Wuhan with Dongfeng Motors. This luxurious one got a brand new nose to bring it up to date with the rest of the family.

The ZX doesn't really seem to bother about all the flashy concept cars with led-lights that are surrounding it, it is just what it is, a simple decent car that'll bring you home.

And that's why I like it, hopefully she will stay around for another while, so here she is:
