Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Chery goes Purple with QQ Sport

210408, Beijing Auto Show. This is Chery new QQSport and it is a confusing car. It was first shown two years ago as a concept called S16, than it was spied many times with QQ5 badges so many believed it would be one of two successors for the current QQ3.

But Chery has now it's brandnew Faira minicar range, I will post pictures of those cars soon, which will replace the QQ and a bunch of other old Chery's.

The QQ3 was not on Chery's stand, like it dissapeared into nothing, so that car is taken car of. But Chery still had the S16/QQ5 which didn't have any use anymore.

I guess somebody on Chery's board really liked the thing so instead of killing it they brought it out again as QQSport and it will be available on the market.

The shape didn't change much from the concept, all I can see is a little extra roofspoiler and the purple color is new as well, looks great on it, yep. But the Chinese people loved it, there was almost constantly a crowd around the car, so I guess we will see some of those on the road...
