Guangzhou Autoshow 2008: BYD F0 Sport looks like a Very Fast Aygo

Beijing, 191108. BYD copied the Toyota Aygo and called it F1. When Bernie got angry and sent some lawyers BYD called it F0. Now there is the F0 Sport.



Geely copied the Aygo as well, the called it Panda. At least Geely tried to make it look a bit different than the Aygo. A bit more cool with funny headlights that make the front look like a panda, Geely sais, especially when the car is white. Panda's are black with a white belly and some white spots on their heads, Geely doesn't sell a Panda with a similar color combination, so to me it does not look like a panda. Chinese people like the car, they fiddle around with their copied Photoshop and draw panda-ears to the Panda and post those on the web, they think that is fun.



Back now to the F0, I could talk for hours about Chinese people and their panda's and Panda, but this article is about that BYD F0. Even the Chinese thought the F0 looked a bit too much like the Aygo and sales never really took of even though it cost only 5000 us$. So to Guangzhou BYD brought the F0 Sport, a F0 with a lot of plastic attached and no engine upgrade. The F0 is "Just Cool"



To sport-up the interior BYD used some extra seatcovers end a little red cover on the gear shift. That is very cheaply done! Nice work from the BYD Boys, I'd love to drive around with this car in Beijing, I bet I'd lost all plastic in less than an hour.
