Visit to the Beijing Tuning Show 2009: Don't Blame a Nissan 300 ZX for being Paranoid
230209. The Beijing Automobile Accessories and Decorations Show, aka Beijing Tuning Show, was in town again. One of many a great vehicles was this monsteresque Nissan 300ZX converted to a Lamborghini Murcielago. Done by Chinese tuner MPS, that's Max Power Sports.
The show was held in the Beijing Agricultural Center, a gift to China by Mr. Stalin from the former Soviet Union. Its architecture is therefore typically communist and so the best place to show China's change with a very capitalist auto show.
In the days of the Gift almost nobody had a car and men forgot to design much parking place around which left me with no choice to take my bicycle and paddle to the place. Not that bad, it's only ten minutes from my house.
A lot of interesting vehicles were parked around in and outside the main hall. This one struck my heart like lightning, a beauty of a 300 ZX smashed with plastic and foam to create a Murcielago look-a-like. Kind of a.
Fortunately it was not very busy around it so I had time to take a few pictures. On MPS' backdrop 'Driftmaster' was written, I wonder how to drift with this huge sportsmobile. The engine was also changed a bit, to 500 hp.
I will post many more about the show today and tomorrow. Boring vehicles as a Ferrari and some GTR's will be skipped, I'll focus on the weird ones instead because they are much cooler.
