Published on August 19, 2010 by Tycho

Jianghuai Automobile Corporation, JAC, is developing to pure electric vehicles based on the YueYue hatchback and Tongyue sedan. The cars were seen in a JAC factory and look very well finished.
Pure electric seems to win the day from hybrid or hybrid-electric in China, the central and local governments are handing out subsidies for clean cars and are all working hard on infrastructure to charge them.

Beijing Auto Show Live: JAC Eagle / Rein
Published on April 25, 2010 by Tycho

About the name. In Chinese it is 瑞鹰, Ruiying, meaning ‘Lucky Eagle’. JAC translated Ruiying in English as ‘Rein’ but they use the name ‘Eagle’ without ‘Lucky’ in some markets as well. Both are so correct, the name on the back of the car has it all, it reads “rein 瑞鹰”. I will continue to use ‘Eagle’, heck, because I am used to it. JAC brought one new Eagle, facelifted might be a better say, with this impressive new front. Fortunately JAC opted for black which loox very good on the machine.

Beijing Auto Show Preview: JAC Vision IV Concept

In line with responsible automakers all over the world JAC will bring a small hybrid sewing machine to the Beijing Auto Show. The Vision IV, JAC had three earlier visions, is designed by Italians. It all loox a bit boring but I really like that start-button in the front bumper. If that actually worx I’ll buy one just to play with that. The word ‘kickstart’ gets a whole new meaning. Wonder whether you can actually ‘kick-out’ other people’s Vision IV’s, that would be even more fun.
