Beijing Auto Show Live: Brilliance A0 Concept
Published on April 30, 2010 by Tycho

Brilliance had a nice slogan for the full-electric A0: “Imagine Green Future”, I imagined me and the girl with funny hair on a sunny beach. The A0 is all about the environment and Brilliance used a lot of recycled materials. The seats are made of recycled plant fibers, the roof from recycled soyabean fibers and the carpets(!) from recycled polyester fiber. But off course, we believe. The electric motor has 70 kw, good for a 130km/h top speed.
Beijing Auto Show Live: Brilliance FSV-RS
Published on April 26, 2010 by Tycho

Brilliance took the sporty FSV-RS to the show. It is based on the FSV which is a rather boring car. The body kit sure makes it look a lot better, but engine is the same 1.5 litre as in the regular FSV so it won’t be any faster. Price starts around 90.000 rmb. Top speed is 170km/h.
Beijing Auto Show Preview: facelift Brilliance BS4
Published on April 21, 2010 by Tycho

This is the facelifted Brilliance BS4 sedan and as expected most changes went to the new front. The car was scheduled debut on Friday at the Beijing Auto Show but it happens to happen two days earlier. Brilliance is very messy with its secrecy and put all new cars on display without any cover.
Got you…
Beijing Auto Show Preview: facelift Brilliance BS4 Wagon
Published on April 21, 2010 by Tycho

This is the new Brilliance BS4 Wagon, cross-style. Brilliance will bring the facelifted BS4 to the Beijing Auto Show but the wagon got the biggest change. Brilliance hopes this sporty touch will get some more buyers in the showroom. The BS4 wagon is a good looking car but not exactly a hot seller, Chinese people are not yet used to wagons.
Beijing Auto Show Preview: Brilliance electric Concept
Published on April 19, 2010 by Tycho

Brilliance will unveil a electric concept car at the Beijing Auto Show. Brilliance released 3 pictures of the thing today but not the name, which is a bit stupid. On the other hand, it is great fun because now I can make up one name. It is green and loox like a pear. Green Pear it is.
The Green Pear is 100% electric and is made of environmental-friendly recyclable materials, such as the chairs that are made of natural fibers, the carpets are made of recycled polyester fibers, the tires are filled with biomass, and the ‘wrapping’ of the roof is made from soyabean fibers.
Beijing Auto Show Preview: Brilliance FSV Sport
Published on April 18, 2010 by Tycho

Brilliance wants to spice up the rather boring FSV sedan with this new FSV Sport. Brilliance added a lot of weight in spoilers, some red lines around the grille and bigger wheels. No word on a bigger engine or any other mechanical changes so I guess there won’t be any. Engines either a 1.5 or a 1.6, price around 90.000 rmb.

The FSV

Brilliance, called Zhonghua in China, will bring a facelifted BS4, called Junjie in China, to the Beijing Auto Show that will start Friday 23th. Brilliance published this one and only picture today so the front is where most of the facelift went.

The old BS4.
SPy Shots: Brilliance FSV Sport
Published on March 9, 2010 by Tycho

Brilliance Automotive is slowly sexing up its range, newest addition is this sportsmodel based on the FSV, the FSV itself is based on the slightly bigger BS4. The ‘FSV sport’, as I call it for now until known better, got a load of extra plastic and a brand new front. The blackened grille loox really sporty, the normal FSV has too much chrome there and that ain’t helping top speed.
